These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Signal Artisan platform (“Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.
0. Who We Are
The Service is operated by Dainis Berzins, a self-employed individual registered in Latvia as a provider of economic activity (pašnodarbināts) (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Contact details:
Address: Ropzau 14A-14, Riga, Latvia, LV-1039

Merchant of Record / billing: Payments for paid plans are processed by our authorised Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (or an affiliated Paddle entity) (“Paddle”). Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase, calculates and collects applicable taxes based on your location, and issues receipts or invoices for paid transactions. Your access to the Service is granted and managed by us based on the status of your Paddle-managed subscription.
1. About the Service
Signal Artisan is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform offering tools to create, track, and manage metrics, signals, and rule-based notifications.
The Service may include, in particular:
- A workspace for building and organising metrics and signals;
- Automated and manual data ingestion from various sources;
- Scheduled or ad-hoc computations and evaluations;
- Notifications triggered by user-defined rules; and
- Visualisation, status tracking, and reporting features.
The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You remain solely responsible for your decisions and outcomes.
1.2 Investment & Risk Disclosure
The Service is a self-directed analytics tool. It does not provide investment advice, recommendations, portfolio management, or execution services. You acknowledge that financial markets are volatile and that using signals, metrics, alerts, or any information generated by the Service may involve risk of loss. You are solely responsible for verifying outputs and for any decisions you make based on the Service.
1.1 Technical Requirements & Compatibility
The Service is provided online and requires a reliable internet connection and a modern web browser. You are responsible for ensuring that your device, operating system, browser, and network connection meet the technical requirements described on our website or help pages (if any). We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation on outdated or unsupported browsers or devices.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service in compliance with applicable European Union and national laws and regulations. In particular, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activities;
- Attempt to harm, disrupt, or degrade the performance or security of the Service;
- Circumvent technical or access controls, or probe system vulnerabilities;
- Copy, reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code or functionality, except where permitted by mandatory law;
- Use automated tools to extract or scrape platform content.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or otherwise pose a risk to the Service or other users.
3. Account Requirements & Responsibilities
To create and maintain an account, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Provide accurate and up-to-date registration information;
- Keep your login credentials confidential and secure.
You are responsible for all activity carried out under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access or misuse, you should notify us promptly at support@signalartisan.com.
If you register as a consumer (non-business user), you acknowledge that the Service is a digital tool intended for self-directed analysis and is not personalised financial advice.
4. Subscription, Billing, Cancellation & Refunds
4.1 Plans & Pricing
The Service is offered with varying paid subscription plans. Details of available plans, features, and current pricing are provided at: https://signalartisan.com/plan_overview/.
Paid plan purchases are completed through Paddle as Merchant of Record. The price and any applicable taxes shown during checkout are determined by Paddle based on your location and purchase details.
We may adjust pricing or plan features from time to time. Where required by EU or national law, you will be notified in advance of any material changes.
4.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly (or annual) basis, as selected by you at the time of subscription. Charges are made to the payment method you provide. You are responsible for ensuring that your payment details remain valid and up to date.
Automatic renewal: Unless you cancel before the end of your current billing period, your subscription will automatically renew and Paddle will charge the applicable subscription fee for the next billing period using your selected payment method.
Taxes: Taxes (such as VAT, GST, or sales tax) may be added or included in the price depending on your location and the tax rules that apply to your purchase. Paddle determines and applies taxes based on your location and purchase details.
Payment failures: If a payment fails, Paddle may retry charges and/or apply dunning processes. During unresolved payment issues, access to the site may be limited or suspended until payment is successfully completed.
4.3 Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Users Only)
If you purchase the Service as a consumer within the European Union, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded, without giving any reason.
Starting the Service immediately: Where you expressly request immediate access to the Service during checkout and acknowledge that you may lose your right of withdrawal once digital performance begins, the right of withdrawal may no longer apply (or may be limited) once we have started providing the Service. Paddle will present any required consent and acknowledgement during checkout, where applicable.
Where withdrawal remains available after immediate performance has begun, and where permitted by law, we (or Paddle as seller of record) may deduct an amount proportional to the service already supplied up to the time you informed us of your withdrawal.
4.4 Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time via the My Account page. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will continue to have access to the Service until that time.
4.5 Refunds
Refunds are not provided, except where required under applicable EU consumer law or in the case of documented billing errors. Any refund granted is at our reasonable discretion and will not establish an ongoing obligation to provide refunds in similar circumstances.
5. Service Availability & Timeliness Disclaimer
We aim to provide high availability and regular data refreshes; however, you understand and agree that:
- The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or outages;
- Regular data updates, as well as notifications, may be delayed, fail, or be partially incomplete from time to time;
- Third-party data sources, APIs, or network providers may impact the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the information presented.
- Some service providers used by Signal Artisan provide data in higher granularity than their updates (e.g. daily prices, but updated only once or twice a week).
You must not rely on Signal Artisan as your sole source of data or alerts for financial, trading, or operational decisions. You remain responsible for cross-checking critical information.
6. Data Accuracy & No Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by EU and national law, the Service and all information, outputs, computations, and notifications are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that:
- The data shown is accurate, complete, or up to date at all times;
- The Service will meet your particular requirements or expectations;
- External data sources, APIs, or third-party integrations will function without error or interruption.
You remain solely responsible for validating information before relying on it for decisions of any kind.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable EU and national law, we shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
- Loss of profits, revenue, or anticipated savings;
- Trading or investment losses of any kind;
- Loss of data or corruption of data.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you have paid for the Service in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Platform Rights
All software, algorithms, user interface components, text, graphics, and other content made available as part of the Service are and remain the exclusive property of Signal Artisan and/or its licensors. These elements are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8.2 User Content
You retain ownership of the data you upload or enter into the Service, as well as the custom metrics, signals, rules, and descriptions you create (“User Content”).
By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of your proprietary datasets or strategies and will not resell them as independent products.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You materially breach these Terms;
- You use the Service in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
- You fail to pay applicable subscription fees;
- Your use of the Service threatens its stability, security, or lawful operation for other users.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service will cease. Unless otherwise required by law, we may delete or anonymise your data after a period of 30 days.
10. Privacy & GDPR
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant EU and national data protection laws.
You can review our Privacy Policy at: https://signalartisan.com/privacy/.
11. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update or modify the Service and/or these Terms from time to time.
Where changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Riga, Latvia, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
12.1 Complaints & Online Dispute Resolution (EU)
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at support@signalartisan.com, and we will try to resolve the issue promptly.
If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to submit a complaint: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
12.2 Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including (without limitation) internet or hosting outages, third-party service failures, strikes, acts of government, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.
12.3 Assignment
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms (in whole or in part) to an affiliated entity or a successor (for example, if we incorporate or restructure the business), provided that this does not reduce your mandatory statutory rights. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
12.4 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
12.5 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any documents expressly incorporated by reference (including the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms presented at checkout), constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on the same subject.
